Ursula Biemann

Ursula Biemann is a video essayist, curator and theorist based in Zurich. She has produced a considerable body of work on migration, transnationalism, technology and gender. She curated different research projects on contemporary geographies of mobility including The Maghreb Connection, and published several books including Geography and the Politics of Mobility, Stuff It, the video essay in the digital age, and Mission Reports, a recent monograph of her video works. She holds an honorary degree in humanities of the Swedish University of Umea and is a researcher at the Institute for Theory at the Zurich University of the Arts. She is the co-founder of ArtTerritories.
