EDITORIAL TEAM
Editors: Ursula Biemann and Shuruq Harb
Guest Editors: Özge Ersoy, Mayssa Fattouh, Bilal Khbeiz, Nat Müller, Ahmad Hosni, Sary Zananiri.
EDITORIAL PROCEDURES
AT publishes interviews on a continuous basis throughout the year. It is activated through interview chains which we call Trails. These interview Trails are initiated by the Editorial Team or by Guest Editors who then take editorial responsibility for the entire Trail; unsolicited Trail proposals are welcome.
Accepting to be interviewed for AT implies your agreement to interview someone else on your turn. Typically, you would approach someone you personally and professionally know and whose practice and ideas you genuinely wish to explore because they inspire, inform or challenge your own work. Choice and content are to be discussed with the Trail Editor who contacted you. Interviewer and Interviewee are responsible for reaching a consensus on the final draft to be handed in. AT Editorial Team will review the material for spelling errors and overall clarity before uploading the material.
New interviews are announced on the intro page and positioned in the main blog for a week before moving to the 5 most recent articles and to the Trail Archive.
CONTENT
AT encourages its participants to address issues around artistic process, theoretical, social and political concerns around their work and visual culture. It is supportive of informal interviewing styles that may be responding to particular events or ideas.
FORMAT
AT accepts interviews in English and Arabic between 1200 and 2500 words. Image format 72 dpi, 1024 pixel wide. Contributors may post a bio of 100 words as well as links to their projects and all their AT activities.
PARTICIPATION
There is neither an ethnic nor a territorial restriction on participation, but we expect contributors to maintain an interest in the region which would allow for interview Trails to meander in and out of its boundaries, producing a loose fabric of connectivity.
COPYRIGHT
Interviews produced for AT must first be published on AT website. Interviews can
then be re-published in other publications with acknowledgment of AT. AT reserves the right to publish interviews in a printed version at a later date.
